Beyoncé Knowles shines during Wubb Girlz Week

International superstar Beyoncé Knowles is headed to Wuzzleburg to make her debut as the voice of Shine, the lead singer of the hottest girl group around: The Wubb Girlz!

You and your kids are invited to join Wubbzy, Daizy, Walden, and Widget as they meet the Wubb Girlz and team up for four music-filled adventures.

Tune in for a weeklong Wubb Girlz celebration, Monday, April 27 through Thursday, April 30 at 10:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. Then relive your favorite moments as Nickelodeon presents a special hour-long Wubb Idol movie presentation on Friday, May 1 at 1:00 p.m. (ET/PT).

Beyoncé Brings Star Power to Preschoolers
This marks Beyoncé's first children's project ever, and she couldn't be more thrilled to appear on Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!

"I'm so happy because I'm finally able to impress my nephew," says Knowles. "It doesn't matter who I meet—even President Obama! He's not Wubbzy to my nephew, so this is like the coolest thing in the world to him."

On playing Shine, Knowles adds, "Shine is in a girl's group, and obviously I could identify with that growing up in Destiny's Child. The Wubb Girlz are all about unity; they have cool harmonies, and we got to sing an amazing song, 'Sing A Song'."

The Wubb Girlz Promote Positive Lessons for Little Ones
Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! has always focused on modeling positive social and emotional skills for preschoolers, and these new Wubb Girlz adventures continue to drive home the importance of being yourself and relying on your friends. Beyoncé was pleased to help deliver this message.

"Being yourself is the most important message for children because we're all different and once you get a little bit older, you realize that those things that are different about you are what make you so amazing. It’s what makes you so interesting."

Shine Can Spark a Love of Music
Beyoncé also hopes that The Wubb Girlz can spark a conversation in families about the importance of music. Getting your child involved in music can increase their self-esteem and promote communication and creativity. By incorporating simple music activities into your family life, you can help nurture your children's natural musical talents and promote music appreciation.
