AOL: When was the last time you were completely alone?

Beyonce: The last time I was completely alone was probably yesterday. I have my moments alone — it’s important. Every morning I try to lay in bed and try to think about what I did the day before and what I have to do. I do my own therapy and analyzing, so I can be smarter, stronger and a better woman.

AOL: The ‘I Am’ portion of the album is pretty emotional. When was the last time you cried?

Beyonce: ‘I Am’ — that portion of the record is very emotional, very touching and very vulnerable. I’m an emotional person. I’m really sensitive. Whenever there’s someone in the room crying, I cry. When I watch a Hallmark commercial, I cry. I think it’s one of my gifts; I’m able to connect emotionally to people and it doesn’t take a lot.

AOL: What would your mother say is your worst habit?

Beyonce: My mother would say my worst habit is definitely being messy. They call me Hurricane Beyonce — whenever I walk in a room, you give it about 10 minutes, my purse, my shoes — everything — is all over the place. I’m extremely organized with my work. I’m very detail-oriented and a little bit crazy. So when I come home I don’t want to think about anything. I don’t want to be put together. I just completely destroy everything.

AOL: I heard you’re a pretty good Connect Four player. What’s your secret talent or party trick?

Beyonce: I’m a pretty good Connect Four player. I think I’m the champion. I don’t want to talk too much but I really can back it up. I know people are like, “Yeah, right.” Everybody thought, “OK, that’s the rumor, but let’s try.” I beat quite a few legends.

AOL: Any possibility of a Destiny’s Child reunion?

Beyonce: Destiny’s Child — actually my cousin just had a birthday and all the girls, we flew into New York. We had a party bus and we went to see this show called ‘Fuerzabruta.’ It was amazing. It was so great to see the girls and we stayed up all night, we played musical chairs.We see each other all the time. I heard some stuff that Kelly [Rowland] is doing for her record — Michelle [Williams]’s album is out. They’re my girls. Whenever they need me I’m here, and whenever I need them, they’re here for me. Maybe one day. We always have our surprise performances every year, so we’ll see what happens.

Beyonce Starts 'Fierce' Atop Album Chart

Beyonce scores her third straight No. 1 debut on The Billboard 200 this week as the double-disc "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" (Music World/Columbia) shifts a whopping 482,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The album, split between material credited to Beyonce and her new alter-ego Sasha Fierce, has already spawned the hits "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)." Beyonce's 2003 solo debut, "Dangerously in Love," started with 317,000, while 2006's "B-Day" moved 541,000.

Beyoncé Debuts New Album Online

Good news, Beyoncé fans: You don't have to wait until Nov. 18 to hear the R&B singer's new album, I Am . . . Sasha Fierce. All 16 tracks from the double album are streaming right now on the singer's official MySpace page.

"I am happy that my fans will get to listen to my new album first at MySpace," Beyoncé says in a statement. "I have put my heart and soul into I Am … Sasha Fierce and cannot wait to hear the feedback from the fans."

Named for the singer's spicy alter-ego, the double album – and the singer's third solo disc – finds her broadening her sound. As Beyoncé tells it, the disc "allows me to take more risks and really step out of myself, or shall I say, step more into myself, and reveal a side of me that people [who] only know me see."

Among the innovative sonic moments on the album, "Diva" presents an aggressive, hip-hop flavored sound with its chirpy, repetitive verse: "Diva is a female version of a hustler." Other songs like "Sweet Dreams" and "Halo" position Beyoncé's voice over synthesizer-flecked melodies. And "Radio" takes her into full-on dance-music territory with a club-ready rush of a beat.

NEW YORK (AP) — Attention, Mr. president-elect: Come Inauguration Day, Beyonce is at your service.

"I'm there. I can't wait. I feel like all of us, we're ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want — if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I'm there, and I'm ready," a giddy Beyonce said in an interview the day after Barack Obama made history in becoming the nation's first elected black president.

The singer couldn't stop beaming after Obama's win over Republican John McCain on Tuesday. In fact, she was so inspired, she wore a blue suit and tie in honor of Obama — with stiletto heels that were red, white and blue.

"I've never been so patriotic!" she laughed. "I'm just beyond excited."

Beyonce was supposed to be in Japan on Election Night to promote her upcoming album, "I Am ... Sasha Fierce," but decided to postpone it at the last minute.

"I said, 'What am I doing? I'm completely making a bad decision. I have to go home, I'm gonna kill myself if I'm not home in America,'" she said. "I knew I needed to be here."

After going with hubby Jay-Z, Diddy, Mary J. Blige and others to states like Pennsylvania, Florida, and Ohio just before the election, she watched the returns Tuesday night with family and friends in her home. She was not only inspired by Obama, but McCain's concession as well: "McCain's speech was so classy."

The 27-year-old said the win was particularly important for the inspiration it gave to African-Americans.

"My nephew, who is 4, when we say, 'You can do whatever, you can be whatever,' it's not cliche. You have no doubt that it's not true," she said.

The election even brought Beyonce to tears, though she says it was the good kind: "I fell asleep crying and smiling at the same time," she laughed. I woke up with mascara running and a smile on my face!"

“Single Ladies” will make its MTV debut on Monday night as the credits roll on the 9:30 ET/PT episode of “The Hills,” just before tonight’s new episode (10:00pm ET/PT) makes its debut. The episode is appropriately themed, as it involves an old flame that regrets ending a relationship.

MTV Jams has determined that “Single Ladies” and “If I Were A Boy” will be given the honor of being named the “Jam Of The Week” this week, meaning viewers will have a chance to catch the videos every hour this week.

If MTV and MTV Jams wasn’t enough, MTV HITS, MTV TR3S, MTV2 and LOGO will spin the “Single Ladies” and “If I Were A Boy” videos throughout the week.

Beyonce will release videos for her two new singles "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" via MTV, BET, VH1 and Fuse on Monday (Oct. 13). The two songs were released to radio this week and are the first from her forthcoming, as-yet-untitled album, due Nov. 18 via Music World/Columbia.

"It's kind of like 'Freaky Friday'," Beyonce tells Billboard of the concept behind the "If I Were a Boy" clip, where she plays a police officer. "In the beginning of the video, my husband makes me breakfast and he's excited about it, and I kind of don't have time to eat. As a police officer, I have a male partner and the video goes through our days. My husband's at work and has attractive girls flirting with him but he declines their advances. Beyonce says the clip will depict common things that men do to hurt their significant others, like not answering their phone.

"It's about all of the little things that mean so much in a relationship," says Beyonce. "At the end of the clip, you realize that I was acting out his life, and it all starts over again. He was a cop and everything that happened was really him doing the same thing to me."

Both videos were directed by Jake Nava, who previously helmed Beyonce's "Baby Boy" featuring Sean Paul.
